Minecraft, designed by Markus Persson, was released on 18 November 2011. Minecraft is a survival game in which everthing is made of squares. There are two gamemodes: Singleplayer (your world is only yours); and Multiplayer (you play with your friends).
Creating your own world, to start off, the key is first to chop some wood and make a crafting table. On the crafting table you can make different tools such as a pickaxe, sword, torch, planks etc. by using resources like coal, wood, sticks etc. For example, if I would like to craft a wooden sword I would need to use one stick and two wooden planks. In Minecraft mining exists by which you can dig under the earth and collect minerals, rocks. The most common items to obtain in mining are cobblestone, granite, diorite and andesite. The rarest materials to mine are diamonds. This mining is highly engrossing because players are usually extremely desperate to find diamonds.
Using te found diamonds you can craft diamond swords, diamond pickaxes, and even diamond armour etc. Using swords and armour in Minecraft you protect yourself by killing Mobs (comprised of zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers and endermans) as they want to kill you! When all those Mobs want to kill you, it’s better (and safer) to build a house in Minecraft. This is for me the best fun in the game. I just love building houses in Minecraft and when you finally finish constructing it after several hours you just feel so proud of yourself!
There are other far more unbelievable aspects of Minecraft such as going to different dimensions like Nether and the End, beating the ender dragon, farming crops, and farming pigs, cows etc. but I would have to write far more to explain everything!
For me, Minecraft is the most underrated game in the world. I really enjoy playing it with my friends as the game is captivating and lots of games do not have that level of fun which Minecraft entails such as building and mining. Minecraft was the first game to do that. Minecraft is available on platforms such as PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo and Pc. Minecraft Java costs around 100zł. If you have a new console and Pc, and you’re looking for a first game to play and enjoy, I would definitely recommend Minecraft.
