Before writing this article, I was looking for some inspiration. Checking local and global orientated news stations, thinking about what has happened in the last month and trying to do a general recap. I was quite unlucky, to be honest, as I couldn’t find anything particularly interesting. Of course, a lot has happened in almost every branch of social life, but none of those things were special. Some may seem special and impactful, but as I thought of them this type of situations and news happen almost every day. That’s why this article is not going to be special, it’s just gonna be lazy news.
Xi Jinping
Firstly, I’ll start with politics, cause here all the time something happens, so let’s start with China. It is quite a global country, most of the staff we use is made there, but the news from there is simple: Xi Jinping is reelected as the leader of the communist party. What do you need to know about it? Well, I’m not sure, as I’m not from China, the only part that I am sure of is that the communist party will say that he’s been a great leader and the opposition, if there is any, will disagree with that statement.
A little bit more interesting news comes from Great Brittan, Liz Truss resigns from being the prime minister after just 44 days. Most people say that she was the worst prime minister in history, as in just over a month she pulled down Britain’s economy with her “Trussonomics” policy. However, people with some questionable sense of humor say that she was one of the smartest, as after 6 weeks she is granted with a taxpayer-funded allowance of £115,000 a year for life. Others just say that she looks like a lettuce.
What else is there, Sports. Because we are in Poland, there is only one sport we care about, football. Maybe occasionally volleyball and ski jumping, but last month was not the season for them. In the summer Mr. Lewandowski moved to FC Barcelona, so most Polish fans switched from Bundesliga to La Liga, most of their opinions were “finally”. What’s happening in La Liga? Real is winning, right after is Barca and ending the top 3 is Atletico, so we can call it a usual situation. An unusual situation is that in Premier league the winning team at the moment is Arsenal, later is Man City and third is Tottenham. In Italy first is Napoli, then AC Milan and Lazio. As I said we no longer care for Bundesliga and we never did for Ligue 1, so I’m going to skip them.
Climate activists attacked some Monet and Van Gogh paintings with tomato soup and puree. They also started to gluing and cementing their hands to roads around the world, the drivers, while mad also came up with some interesting counter-protest. The activists seem not to like oil and cars, as they also glued themselves to the floor of Porsche Museum. They got some attention, but the staff of the museum decided to just close it. After just a few hours the protesters started to cry for help on Twitter and after a night at the museum the police forced them out. Last activist news is that they spray painted an Aston Martin dealership, we all thank God, that it was only from the outside and that they did not destroy the masterpieces inside.
The scientists remind us of Covid and of its different variations that are spreading, but I guess they’ve been doing that for the last three years, so let’s just hope that we will be fine.
That’s the end of the Lazy news, if you did not read it, because you’re lazy, that’s fine, if you read it and you did not enjoy it, you should’ve been lazy.
