Hi! My name is Maja, and in this article, I’m going to write about my favourite place I have visited. I’m going to write about the country, the food, the culture, and the landscape.

The best place I have visited is Japan! I absolutely love this country. Japan is beautiful. In Japan, I have been around a few cities, such as Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Kyoto, and I can’t get over any of them! We stayed in several hotels and one of them was a capsule hotel. All of the places were clean and tidy. I was shocked that Japan - in general - is so clean.

The food in Japan, as you may already know, is very, very good. The most famous dish is of course sushi, but some soups like ramen and pho are popular too. If you like sushi, you should definitely go there. One roll (which is 8 pieces) costs only 480 YEN (about 4 PLN!), so it is much more affordable then in our country.

Some of you may know there is this popular drink in Japan people call matcha. It’s a kind of green tea. In Europe, people drink it with milk, but in Japan, people drink it like coffee, so without milk. When I was in Japan, I was at a matcha-preparing ceremony. Some people say it tastes like grass, but I like it.

When we were in Japan, we went to numerous temples and museums. With its iconic kimonos and sandals, this country has a beautiful and rich culture.

Japan is also known for its beautiful landscapes, which are breath-taking! And so are the mountains, the clean rivers, and the blue lakes!

The thing I miss the most about Japan is their convenience stores, which are a lot like our Polish Żabka.
