Amnesty International is an international organization fighting for human rights. What are human rights? These are all rights people have just because they are human beings. Regardless of skin colour, gender, origin, religions and beliefs. Everyone has the right to life, education, expressing their views, etc. It is, after all, the basis for living in a world full of democracy, contradiction and peace. The most important document by which Amnesty International operates is the United Nations' Declaration of Human Rights from 1948. It was confirmed by the ONZ organization.
Amnesty International has been operating in Poland since 1948. This organization wants a free world from discrimination, where people are protected during armed conflicts and all those who violate human rights are judged.
It all starts with reports written by qualified experts in which the facts about places in the world where human rights are violated are documented.
Then the reports of this research are presented to governments and other organizations to act in accordance with human rights. Through petitions, letters and protests, Amnesty International activists and activists are putting pressure to influence the actions of people and institutions that will bring about change.
